AVS manual bundling machineBefore using the machine, you ought to have read the users manual attentively.
CompetenceDo not allow children or other unauthorized persons to work with the machine. Repairs and maintenance can only be executed by technicians. Placement of the machinePlace the machine on a flat and stable underground so that the machine stands stable. See to it that the machine is within easy reach so that the product which needs to be processed can be supplied and removed quickly. The minimum surroundings temperature is 15° Celsius, problems with the tape may be caused by lower temperatures. Place the machine in such a way that the power cable does not obstruct the machine operator or coincidental passer-bys. Electrical connectionConnect the machine on a 220 Volt socket with earthing. Color code power cable: Yellow/green = earthing Blue = nought wire Brown = 220 Volt During the installation, the tension needs to be controlled on the lower connection clips of the double fuse. If this is 220 Volt, the fuse can be switched on. When not using the machine or during repairs or maintenance, pull the plug out of the socket. AdjustmentsThe mutual tape distance, the micro switch and the product holder need to be placed exactly on the position desired. Way of adjustment:
The mutual tape distance needs to be 25cm shorter than the product length.
Start upSwitch off the emergency stop. Put the plug into the socket. Allow the machines with heated tape heads to warm up during 15 minutes.
Testing of the return protectionThe upper tape heads of the bundling machine are equipped with a return protection. This protection helps to prevent injuries. If the bushing, which can be found around the lower tape head, is pressed down, the upper tape head will stop its downward movement and return to its upper position. This protection needs to be tested each time before the beginning of the operations. Way of testing:
Application of the tapePush the tape roller over the tape holders in such a way that the adhesive is at the top during unwinding. Wind the tape around the upper tape head and hold the tape firmly. Make sure that your hand is not situated between the tape heads. Operate the bar of the micro switch with your other hand. Make sure that this hand is not situated between the tape heads. Because of the activation of the micro switch, the tape will be clamped together automatically in the tape heads. Repeat this operation for the second tape head.
Produce bundlesTake the product that needs to be bundled firmly at both ends. Push the product in between the tape heads. Make a turning movement in order to prevent pulling the tape out of the lower tape head. Make sure that your hands are not situated between the tape heads. By moving the product down onto the holder, the micro switch will be activated. The machine now starts a tape cycle through which a bundle is being made. If the machine stops, you need to move the bundle up so that the micro switch isn't activated anymore. Release the bundle at one side and remove the bundle with your other hand from the machine, without operating the micro switch. Make sure that your hands are never situated between the tape heads. Repeat this cycle for the next bundles. End operationsAfter ending your operations, pull the plug out of the socket. MaintenanceThe upper heads need to be oiled daily and the 4 lagers monthly.
In case of a failurePull the plug out of the socket during repairs or maintenance. Remove the tape and the product traces from the lower tape heads. Check all springs (1 and 3 pieces in the lower and the upper tape head). Check the rubber holding strip in the lower tape head. Check the rubber roller of the upper tape head. Repairs must only be carried out by technicians. |
